Peter Penguin had to be pinioned. The people feared his piercing stare and his big protruding proboscis. Dressing in a tuxedo could not hide his bizarre proportions or his permanent smile. Interspecies mating was still against the law in most states, against most religious beliefs and just plain creepy to the rest of the world.
