Flash 55 - My Stinger Is So Strong

~ click image to make biggerer ~

It hurt so much
when you put your stinger in me -
repeatedly.
You made me jump and
wiggle and move
like I never moved before.
You left your mark on me and
I couldn’t forget you for days afterward.
I finally accepted you and
found you could not stand against
a can of Raid.

  2. Um...Vanessa?
You just made me wiggle and jump.
I'll just have to put the ole stinger away for now.
    And it was ready!

    1. We usually leave things be (he, he) but they were in the holly tree my husband has to take down and they attacked him when he cut down some branches. I haven't seen him move that fast in years.

  5. Their stings are very painful. I had one sting me under the arm once when I was watching a football game at the college where my father was employed. It's something I've never forgotten.
I guess this is a bee and not a wasp on second look. When I was growing up in New Mexico, our neighbor kept bees. I was constantly getting stung. It's a damn good thing I'm not allergic like my late grandmother was. I might not be here today to scare and annoy everyone by having the utter temerity to exist.

    1. Our exterminator friend said they are hornets.

You don't scare or annoy me and I hope you continue to exist, temerity and all.

  6. Ouch! Nasty buggers. Why can't they just leave us alone? Yeah, Raid is my friend, too. :)

    1. Along that vein, I always felt 'man down' to be a double tragedy.
