Weekend Funnies - True Zenism

This was sent to me this week in an email.

Inner  Peace: This is so true

If  you can start the day without caffeine,

If you  can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and  pains,

If  you can resist complaining and
 boring people with your troubles,

If  you can eat the same food every
day and be grateful for it,

If  you can understand when your loved
ones are too busy to give you any time,

If  you can take criticism and
  blame without resentment  ,

If  you can conquer tension
 without medical help,

If you can relax without liquor,

If  you can sleep without the aid of  drugs,

....Then  You Are  Probably
  ..........

The  Family Dog!
And you thought I was going to get all spiritual.

Play Weekend Funnies and help spread the laughter.

  1. I knew when I read that "same food every day line" we had to be talking about the dog.

  5. quilly: I was slower than you when I first read it.

Alice Audrey: I thought spiritual as my sender is always trying to reform me.

Zuzana: I’ll be by to read about it. I’m sure I will see lovely pictures.

Brian Miller: The ideal dog’s life does sound wonderful sometimes. You enjoy, too.

  6. I've often said that I would love to come back as a pampered pooch. Our dog, Taz, has it is so good there are times when my life is frazzled and I look over to see her lounging on the couch or playing with her toys and I envy her!

There are nuggets of wisdom there - I need to remember the 'take criticism and blame without resentment' and 'always be cheerful'.

    Thanks for this, Nessa :)

  10. It is far from my hopes to achieve most of these, but my dog has them down pat. Maybe there is a wee spiritual lesson in here after all...

  12. That is so funny. I was reading it thinking I can't do half of those things! I never expected it to be the dog.

I don't have a dog, but a kitten sounds like her too. :)

    Thanks for sharing.

  19. You definitely made me laugh because I was sure you were going spiritual. I stopped dead at the first one about getting up without coffee.

  20. But they have their revenge - chewing shoes, digging int he garden, barking at all hours. I think it evens out.

  21. I loved this and didn't click at all. You got me at caffiene. I was thinking who in their right mind would start the day without caffiene?

  22. Haha good one, the poor old dog doesn't ask for much but just gives and gives.

  24. Janet: Our dog has it really good, too. I often think I want to be him and then I think I would be very bored. 

jill conyers: When I first read it, I didn’t think dog either.

Doll Mistress: He is cute but that’s not your fault.

Gattina: Yes, cats have it pretty good, too.

Claudia: I’d love to be able to just let go like that for a few minutes each day.

Jeanie: We can always try to reach one or two of these.

Thom: The woo woo’s will help be like the dog.  Clean up that mess.
Sue: I can’t begin to come near any f these but I’m not someone’s pet, either.

Cheryl: They do make the rounds but still give a chuckle.

Noe Noe Girl...A Queen of all Trades.: I can’t start without my morning coffee.

Finding Pam: I do need my caffine, too. My puppy is napping as we speak.
juliana: The food part really made me feel bad for my dog.

Eden: I thought it was going to be some hermit.

Tom & Icy: Icy was a wise and beautiful puppy.

Jingle: I am glad you had a grin.

agrigirl: So many of us got stuck on the first one. We wouldn’t make good pets or aesthetics.

secret agent woman: I never thought about their revenge. They are not as innocent as we might think.

Shelley Munro: I certainly wouldn’t be in my right mind. I’d be of a sluggish, dull mind.

Glennis: They certainly give me than they get.

Rosidah Abidin: I am liking a Saturday chuckle.
