Still Orbiting Like the Space Shuttle

Like the space shuttle, I will remain in orbit until the weather clears.

Tomorrow is Tales on Tuesday. I will have a story to post. I hope you do, too.

It will be my mother's 76th birthday and the theme for Tuesday, April 20, 2010, will be "All in the Family."

  6. Mom first. She'll likely only have one 76th birthday (unlike the 36th birthday which most women have several of). See you when things settle down! We're all playing nice together -- mostly.

That is all the better I can sing. I used to sing before I was asked to not sing in the church choir. The director said I had a bad ear and that he would rather I not sing in his choir.

This sounds like a happy day is coming! Seventy-six is a magic number. Some people feel old. I still am going to run away for a birthday. On my 70th I was going to run away. But then Karen, our daughter, asked us to come watch her run the NYC Marathon. So I did run to NYC, but Karen and Mrs. Jim ran with me.
Ever since then I would try to run away by myself. Something always came up. One year we, Mrs. Jim and I, went to Guatemala for my birthday.
For 77 I might try again. I did for 76 but something happened. I can't remember what it was. I may go check my blog.

  9. I ran away to a University of Nebraska football game against Baylor University. The only problem one more time was that Mrs. Jim came with me. And Karen, Billy, and BP took me for breakfast on our way through their town to drop off the dogs at their house.

I think you have read these. I think you mom might like to try running away a few times. :)
