The prompt for April 3, 2010: a lover’s triangle
Here’s my poem:

There was one piece of apple pie left.
The crust, buttery and light, fell softly to the plate in golden brown flakes atop juicy sweet fruit and brown sugar cinnamon gooey goodness.
We both sat staring at it wishing the other would make the offer.

  1. Wine, women and song
    Oh it seemed so long

    The dance floor was packed
    There was nothing it lacked

    Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb
Oh that Party was so much fun

  2. Who should I choose
    I don't want to lose

    My wife on this side
The Blonde along for the ride

    I love them both
    Must obey my oath

  4. I love both of these, but the first one is simply magnificent. "Confetti petals"..., that sounds like music to me.;)

  5. You caught the mood of spring in the 1st poem. The petals coming down is def. like a celebration of the beautiful weather to come. Love it! And the 2nd poem, I've been caught in that triangle. Nothing good can ever come of it. Good thing for my husband is I don;t eat pie :o)

  8. Love your day #7 poem -- and you are so brilliant. I fumed a couple days back because WP wouldn't let me compose a formed poem! Thank you for the revelation! You are so smart.

Your day #3 poem charmed and tickled me. I have been working on one with chocolate in mind, but it isn't half as good as yours.
