Saint Nicholas Puppets

Today is Saint Nicholas Day. I made one of these felt hand puppets for my great-nephew, Brandon (4 years old) and one for Nicholas, my 2 1/2 month old grandson. They found these in their shoes this morning (placed outside their bedroom doors.) The hat, mittens and belt are removable.

  8. Those are very cute...and creative. Two of my grandsons, 6 & 9 yrs old, learned about St. Nicholas Day in pre-school and have been into it ever since. I think they get ornaments in their shoes.

  9. No hair in back? Or a face on both sides?

I'll bet the kids have fun with them.

  10. These are very cute. I've never heard of St. Nicholas Day before. We definitely don't do this in NZ.

  11. Too darn cute ~ gets the crafter in me all revved up. Better go find my knitting needles or crochet hook! Better yet, maybe my sketch pad. No, wait ~ I think I have some paints around...or beads...or some fabric somewhere. What to do, what to do :-)

  15. That is so CUTE. :-) There's nothing better than making toys and getting them. Some of my all time favourite toys were home made.

Happy St Nick day to you! ;-)
