The Pain Only Lasts a Minute

This is the first of many verse.
They will get worse
before I'm through.
What can I do?

While this one is awfully bad,
I know you're glad
to see me write.
But don't take fright,

for you won't hear me whine and cry,
I've said good bye
to my writer's block
so don't you mock.

  1. I could never get the hang of the construction of poetry. Glad your block is getting chipped away.

  2. Tom - I think this poem will make your ears bleed (so will all of the others I'll be spewing forth.)

  3. I like poetry, but it's hard to stick to the rigid rules. I like it better when I just rhyme the second and fourth lines per stanza with so many syllables. It's too hard otherwise. :)

  4. Glad the block is gone. For poetry I really need to hear the calling of my use.

  5. Hi Nessa, I've been away from these pages for a long time so it was interesting to hear you had a writer's block and glad you don't have it anymore.

You know our little blogging fraternity seems to have dwindled...it's like I've lost an online family.
