Boom, Not.

I heard the world ended yesterday.

Imagine my astonishment when I woke up this morning and found we were all still here. And I was so counting on not having to deal with things.

I think it's time for everyone to stop predicting the end of our existance. Nothing is going to happen while we are looking for it. I don't care what your religion is, it just ain't gonna happen because you say it will.

It is time to start playing nice together and sharing our toys.

  3. Ichatteralot: Hi, thanks for stopping. Yes, anything to cause a sensation.

Jay: Oh, no, do you think?

  4. Nessa, I just posted this on someone's blog the other day. The Bible says Jesus will return when we least expect it and aren't looking for it. That makes me seriously doubt, with all the talk of end times, that it is soon!

(Oh! Hey! Maybe that's why they do it! Maybe they think they're controlling God by keeping his hands tied?!)

  7. Beautifully stated

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

  10. Quilly: I had heard, too, that the time is unknown. It's just like when they want God to kill their enemies. I'm sure he does exactly what He's told, not.

Pauline: I wonder, do these people want the world to end so they can say, "I told you so." to the rest of us? Silly. Paying attention to butterflies is a much better passtime. Thanks.

Q: Thanks. Moving on is good, but we shouldn't discard the lessons we learn. Experience is not a bad thing.

Dabich: Do you have your triangle cloth over your head?

Dabich: How will you catch the spaceship/comet that takes us to heaven?

  13. Man, I was so ready for it to end, too. I had spruced up, cleaned the house, bought a new suit...

Maybe next time. Next Tuesday? 3-ish?

  14. The only prophecies that seem to come true are self fulfilling ones.

  15. Prophecies....some of them come true. Some of them don't. In the meantime....

Glad you're sounding a little better.

  18. Mr. Fab: What are you cleaning for? It's just going to get dirty again. I'd prefer a couple hours earlier, if that's ok with you?

Grunty: OK, I predict - anyone reading this site will feel especially good and happy for the next five days.

    Jenn: Thanks, I'm getting better.

Markis: I have seen that before but not for awhile. Thanks for the reminder. Very timely and appropriate.

    Ekta: Thanks.

  20. The world actually did end yesterday--it just restarted really quickly. Rememember mid-afternoon when you got kind of tired all of a sudden for no reason? That was it.

  21. Neers: Isn't all reality relative?

DA: Sounds very Douglas Adams. I was wondering what that hiccup was.
